First time going to concert, few questions?

I'm going to a Three Days Grace/Papa Roach/Hell Yeah/Alterbridge/Coheed and Cambria/Another Animal concert tonight. I've never really been to a concert before, so I'm a little confused on how I can buy tickets. Here's the advertisement:

Gates open @ 4PM, First band @ 4:30PM

Does this mean I can purchase tickets at the gate? If not how should I go about doing it? Is it too late to buy them online? Also, any misc. advice on what to expect would be greatly appreciated.

I usually just buy the tickets beforehand at the website.

Tips:

Wear sneakers

don't wear a sweater (you will get HOT)

I usually stuff everything in my pockets

Get ready to be pushed and shoved

i would buy tickets ahead of time (if you buy it via ticketmaster, you'll have to pay extra so i suggest buying it at a lotto station if they sell tickets??). esp if its floor, then you would wanna have your tickets and be lining up REALLY early. my friends usually line up an hour earlier (even if its freezing cold).

WEar comfy but nice looking clothes. No Vans cuz they fall off easily (especially if you decide to mosh/crowd-surf) . Wear converse maybe..

If you bring a bag i suggest you bring one that will stay on and you can probably stuff your sweater/jacket but is not so big that it'll annoy fellow audience people. If theres a coat check, USE IT. *but if you're getting a ride home i suggest you tell the driver you'll be late*

If you're in seats... then w/e.. you can probably bring a huge bag and put it on the ground,, and you probs don't have to arrive super early either.
