Is it the same price to buy concert ticket online or at a retain location?

วันพุธที่ 29 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2552

I am going to buy tickets to see Disney on Ice and online at Ticketmaster they charge all kinds of extras. If I was to go to a retail location nearby do they charge the same or do those extra fees not apply?

Its $52 for the tickets but with all the extras they charge its $75 not sure if its even worth it.

Go to BookMe.com and you can compare the prices of your concert tix on all the major ticket websites. Waiting until you get to the venue to purchase the tix is a risky tactic that I would not recommend. Give BookMe.com a shot and you'll find a good deal.

It depends on where you go to purchase the tickets.

Ticketmaster adds on a "convenience charge" (I've seen some as low as $7 and some as high as $13.95!) to EACH ticket purchased through their online site. They also charge extra depending on whether they will mail tickets to you or you print them out yourself or if you need them quickly.

If you go to a Ticketmaster retail location, you will still pay their convenience charge.

The best place to buy your tickets is to go straight to the Box Office at the location where the event is taking place (arena, concert hall, etc). (Search online to find their website then see what hours the box office is open) You won't have to pay the convenience charge on the tickets. Note: if the location has a "facility charge" (usually tacked on to help fund improvements to the facility) you will have to pay this charge regardless of where you buy the tickets.

You can often get deals on ebay for concert tickets and avoid the dreaded "convenience charges." You can check out concert tickets on ebay here:

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=3&campid=5336137415&toolid=10001&customid=&ext=concert+%28ticket%2Ctickets%29&satitle=concert+%28ticket%2Ctickets%29

Here are specifically tickets for Disney on Ice:

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=3&campid=5336137415&toolid=10001&customid=&ext=disney+on+ice+%28ticket%2Ctickets%29&satitle=disney+on+ice+%28ticket%2Ctickets%29

Sometimes people sell at face value because their plans have changed, and you can get tickets that way.

If you don't already have an ebay account, you might want to seriously consider getting an account. You can get almost anything you can want on ebay and usually at better than retail prices! Just make sure you buy from a seller with a 99% or better rating and over 100 sales. I have never had any problem as long as I have followed those guidelines.

Good luck!

Is SOLD OUT really SOLD OUT -- Ticketmaster.?

If a show at Ticketmaster is sold out, would a retail location still have some tickets? My school has a ticketing office and they're also a Ticketmaster outlet; the way they run ticketing is they have an X amount of passes to sell (like for theme parks, theater shows, etc). Do you think their Ticketmaster option is the same way?

And does Ticketmaster release more tickets as the date to a show gets closer?

Usually Ticketmaster hosts all events and their tickets. Majority of the tickets are sold through them, and usually when they say that they are sold out, they usually are. Sometimes events often keep some tickets a side, but they are generally usually the "nose bleed seats". The good seats are always to the highest bidder and sold through ticketmaster. So yes. 98% of the time if its says sold out it usually is...

sold is sold

but sometimes a sold out show will open a new section in the stands

like behind the stage to sell more tickets, or the artist may add another date to the venue, usually the day before or after.

OR there's always scalpers

I work at a movie theater, and at least for us, if it says sold out, it's sold out, and there's a slim chance that you'll find a seat even if you have a ticket.

Sold out means , sold out.

Although , many tickets are bought by ticket brokers. They mark up the price and resell , so you can still get them , just not through TicketMaster.

How do I score floor seats to a certain concert???

Tickets to a concert that I want to go to are going on sale on a Saturday when I will be out of town. My husband is supposed to get me these tickets for my birthday. I told him I want nothing else if he can get me floor seats, lol. The problem is we will be out of town the day the tickets go on sale so, I can't camp out as planned. I was wondering what my best way of getting floor seats would be? I will be in Cincinnati. Could I go to a Ticketmaster location there? Should I go online? Should I call Ticketmaster? Should I ask my mother in law to go early and get tickets for me at the local box office? What should I do???

Thanks!

Yeah, just log on to ticketbastard as early as possible on the day that tickets go on sale. You actually have a huge advantage on the schmucks that stand in line if you do it that way. And if for some reason you dont get the tickets, then check on eBay, there are always about 100 people now that try to get floor seats, just to resell on eBay, it will cost you more, but Im sure you'll be able to find some that way, if needed.

วันจันทร์ที่ 27 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2552

i dont know im looking foward to this fight its gonna be the best fight of the year

i don't know

I don't know...I'm curious too...

it will be a great fight....De la Hoya is like a legend so I like him to win...but I like Mayweather too that I don't want him to lose...I guess it's all up to the bout...

may the better fighter wins!

if mayweather will lose the fight, pacquiao will automatically gains the number one spot of the best pound for pound fighter right now..

Look at www.ticketliquidator.com

But not as of yet.

Did anyone have any luck getting Pens playoff tickets online?

I had to work today and couldnt make it to a ticketmaster location and tried to get tickets for the Penguins first two playoff home games online, and have tried any available seats since 10am when they went for sale and have had no luck. Did anyone else get lucky enough to get tickets?

I was literally hitting the refresh button on my computer at the ticketmaster website at 9:59, and when 10 o'clock struck, the page loaded up saying that no tickets were available for the criteria entered. All pairs were sold out for the first two home games almost instantly. My only luck was getting a single ticket for each game. Then, singles were sold out within 15 minutes. Also, there was no chance getting through on the phones.

I heard there were only 2000 tickets available to each game since most are given to season ticket holders. Apparently everyone had the same strategy as me.

I've had playoff tickets for over a month now. Being a season ticket holder has its advantages! Let's Go Pens!!!!!

Which game are you looking to go to? i can get the same exact tickets you see on stubhub.com without their 10% commission fee. Reply me on my email(on my profile) if you are interested.

nope, tickets for playoff games go FAST. your best bet now is scalping them but that will be pricey. if you are a true fan though, it wont matter. you could try ebay also.

What are the best seat for the Milwaukee Ballet's performance of the Nutcracker in Uihlein Hall Marcus Center?

I want to go with my husband and see the Nutcracker this year. It'll be my husbands first time seeing this play. So I want to make it as wonderful as possible. I'm terrible at understanding the image on ticketmaster which shows the locations of seats. Can someone just tell me where the best seats are, the okay seats, and the downright terrible seats? I just want to make sure I buy tickets for seats that have the stage in good sight. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

lol Hey. I love Nutcracker 2 U might want 2 try this but I'm not sure if it will work 100% for Nutcracker it worked for regular MSO concerts when i did it a few months ago: U go to http://www.3lw.org then U have to click the link on the top right of the page when it says like 3LW tickets or 3lw Photos or whatever, because any link on that next page lets U also "time order " tickets for concerts 2 get the best seats and also see seating diagrams based on if it's a symphony concert, band show, or ballet. U like enter all ur information and then set the time U want to buy the tickets for what concert and it will do it without U being at ur computer, securing the best seats. The links rotate so U might have to keep clicking and reloading the page Hopefully it works 4U. If not, sorry!

Can I return a ticketmaster ticket?

I bought a ticket to the Creationfest tour a month ago at a place near my home where the event was scheduled. Last week they changed the location, and I can't make it to the show anymore. So my ticket is pretty much useless unless I can somehow get to the new location, which probably isn't possible. If I try to return it where I bought it, will they take it? It's a ticketmaster ticket.... If they won't except it, what else can I do with it? The show is next week and I'd rather not let that money go to waste.

probably not. most of those things can be refunded. sell it

How do I ask for a specific seat for Wicked at Pantages?

วันเสาร์ที่ 25 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2552

I am looking for tickets to Wicked at the Pantages in LA, and I want to know if there is a place I can call where I can say "Do you have these seats available?" and they can answer yes or no, with a ticket price. Online it gives random tickets out for a specified dollar amount, and at the ticketmaster retail location, it is also random assignment. Help?!

The seats are not given at random. It's determined by which seats have already been sold. Both times that I've seen the show we ended up in really good seats.

What specific seats did you want?

Pantages Box Office phone numbers:

213-635-3500

714- 740-7878

call the place it's being performed at. that's your best bet, but im not sure if they'll be able to give you specific seats/

I live in Tennessee and I'm wanting to get tickets to a Dallas Cowboys game.?

Will my local Ticketmaster locations have tickets or will I have to phone Ticketmaster to get them? Does local Ticketmasters only have regional events?

I'm pretty sure your local ticketmaster won't have them. Ticketmaster itself probably won't even have them. You should first try going to the Dallas Cowboys official website and getting ticket information there. More bad news though: I'm betting they're already sold out for the next five or so seasons.

For you're best chance at getting tickets at an affordable, yet above face value price, try eBay or Craig's List (Dallas area).

Go to ticketmast.com and type in Dallas Cowboys and it will show you all available tickets for Cowboys games. However, tickets for next season won't go on sale until sometime in July.

I have purchasaed tickets to an Eagle's game by calling a ticketmaster that is out of state. You should be able to obtain tickets from your local ticketmaster if you know the exact date they go on sale.

Go to ticketmaster.com. or the Dallas Cowboys web page.

The best thing to do is to go to the dallas cowboys website at www.dallascowboys.com or go through NFL.com. they can provide a link to buy tickets from the teams' websites.

Why would you want to go to a dallas game?

Which is better way 2 get tickets for wwe event?

วันศุกร์ที่ 24 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2552

Sign up with arena to get confirmation for presale tix but they didnt send it. Event tickets going on sale to public and want a really great seat. Should i get tickets online like I normally do or go to ticketmaster location and get tickets. Which is best way for great seats.

For years I've been getting them from ticketmaster.com. I always get the e-mails about the pre-sales and just do that. I'm pretty sure I started getting the pre-sale deals after the first time I used ticketmaster.com. I've always gotten really good seats this way. Unless you want to be in the 1st row/on camera...I did that once for the 2002 No Way Out PPV and had to go through a local ticket broker, but I'll warn you, it was EXPENSIVE!

To Tell You The Truth Its Impossible These Days To Get Great Seats, People Take So Many Chances Like Going The Night Before And Sleeping In The Cold Waiting In A Long Line, And In The Morning The Tickets End Up Being Sold Out.

With popular events do both. Have your friends & family do one, while you do the other.

Buying tickets from Ticketmaster?

I'd like to buy tickets from Ticketmaster for a concert coming up this saturday. I've heard that it's cheaper to buy tickets at one of the Ticketmaster retail locations instead of buying them online. Is this true? I know I can also buy tickets at the venue and pay a cheaper service/building fee but I don't want to since the venue is far from where I live.

I bought some last fall , I think it was the same price and I was able to print them out right away.

I am gettin RAW TIX, which office should I call in order to get a higher probability of me talking to someone?

I am going to get tickets to WWE RAW today at 10am.

Which of the following ticketmaster locations should I call in order to talk to someone ASAP? Maryland, Northern Virginia, Washington D.C.

i would recomend d.c. .. i have called them recently and got right through.. it is all occording to how many people is calling thow.. so you might wind up calling 4 or 5 places

Honestly your best bet is to call a Ticketmaster outside your area!!Like California or anywhere!!All the Ticketmaster call centers in your area will be jammed, but they all use the same systems,so call one that's not gonna be flooded w/ calls!!

dude Raw isnt a good idea these days u best stick to smackdown the new #1 brand! but good luck with the tix anyways:)

I don't know. =) good luck though.

Ticketmaster Tips?

alright, so i'm refreshing the page about every 30 seconds at 9:59 [they [tickets] go on sale at 10 AM]

i can't go to the ticketmaster location..so yeah.

i can't call either :/

i'm only getting one ticket, best available...

any tips to get GREAT seats?

only thing you can do is refresh, sometimes they go onsale 2-3 mins before so watch out.

as long as you can type decently fast youll get good seats.

it also helps if you already have a ticketmaster account because all your info is already on file so you dont have to fill much out.

just go as fast as you can i guess

what are you gettin tickets for?

How long do ticketmaster tickets take to get to my home if shipped through standard mail?

วันพฤหัสบดีที่ 23 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2552

Does anyone know? My location is Ohio.

you should have gotten them all ready if you dont get them by monday .

It also depends where they was sent from but you should have gotten them all ready

I purchased tickets thru ticketmaster for a concert in Dec. of 07and it stated "your tickets will arrive at least 48 hrs before the date of show" I received them in the mail about 2 weeks before in my mailbox. They come in a play white envelope that might be something you overlook and throw away. I did not have to sign for them.

Usually within a few days.you also my have to sign for them now. It's something new they started.

It took about eight days. I didn't have to sign for mine. My purchase was in mid October.

Is it cheaper to purchase tickets online with ticketmaster or at the venue location?

im asking 'cause w/ticketmaster i noticed they charge facility fees and etc but i was wondering if the venue also charges these small fees?

It is almost always cheaper to go to the actual venue to pick up your tickets. Ticketmaster works as the middle man between the ticket buyer and the venue or promoter who is selling the event. The face value of the ticket goes straight back to the promoter or venue. Ticketmaster makes their money buy collecting a service charge when you place and order. So if you cut straight to the source you avoid higher convenience fees.

That doesn't mean the box office or venue doesn't charge some a convenience and or facility fee. Many times the facility fee (which is different than a service or convenience charge) is charged both at the venue and to people who are using Ticketmaster. The facility fee is set by the venue and is hypothetically for the venue to upkeep the building, maintenance, etc.

You could always call the box office and inquire as to their service charge and facility fee for the event you are interested if you want to know for sure.

venue location

Venue because online there is a transaction fee

Where in Canada can I buy ticketmaster gift cards?

วันพุธที่ 22 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2552

I need to pay in cash for the gift cards and so will need to go to a retail locations... I'm in Toronto. Does anyone know where there is one selling gift cards?

Ticketmaster gift cards aren't available in Canada, but you can buy a gift certificate. The difference is that certificates can't be used online or over the phone, only in person. The ticketmaster website gives all this information:

http://www.ticketmaster.ca/h/gift_certificate.html?tm_link=tm_home_d2

How are u supposed to know which ticketmaster location to go to, to pick up ur tickets??

i bought them online at ticketmaster.

Should be able to pick them up at any Ticketmaster location, as long as you have the correct documentation.

anywhere

they just print them out

Are there any extra charges for buying a ticket at a ticketmaster retail location?

วันอังคารที่ 21 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2552

I know if i buy a ticket at the venue, there are no extra charges, but are they in a retail location?

Yes, ticketmaster always has a 'handling' charge.

i'm pretty sure there is.

I just bought a ticket from ticketmaster and am not sure if i got a standing or seated ticket, help?

i just bought a ticket from ticketmaster for manchester academy, and on my confirmation it says "Seat location: section TICKET" does this mean that i got a seated ticket by accident or does it say section ticket mean standing?

would be very grateful if anybody could help.

sign back in to ticket master and look at order history it should say whether its seated or standing

How does the Ticketmaster "pickup at local retailer" option work for receiving tickets?

I see that I can choose to pickup my tickets at a local retail location instead of paying to have them shipped to my apartment. However, I can't find any details about this on the ticketmaster website. Has anyone done this before? When will the tickets be available for pickup?

Thanks for your help,

-CF

I've never done the local pickup before, but I bought my tickets from a ticket master location in Madison, Wisconsin at The Boston Store. So if you are looking into doing a local pickup, i would suggest just buying the ticket from a local ticketmaster dealer.

Ticketmaster give you a refrence number in the following format 1-23456 or 12-34567 which you can use along with the credit card you payed with to redeem the tickets before the performance day. Can anyone tell me if you have a better chance of getting good tickets for a concert by using Ticketmaster.com or by actually going to a ticketmaster location???

it depends on how long you wait to buy the tickets, but i usually use ticketmaster.com because it will show you a seating chart and give you a definite answer of where your seats are located

Tickets sold out at stores but i was able to buy them at ticketmaster?

Im going out of town for a slipknot concert. I asked my cousin to buy me a ticket and i would reimburse him. he went to different locations to buy the ticket and they told him they were sold out. I went online and looked at ticketmaster. They allowed me to buy a ticket. Will i still get my ticket or did i s c r e w e d out of money?

Ticket master is one of the best to get tickets.

They don't need the bad rep, because of it's their business.

If you are worried, contact the venue about the tickets.

If a show is sold out will ticketmaster still sell u tickets?

If you were able to buy it then it's not sold out, your cousin was probably just looking on bad ticket sites, which there are a lot of. Trust me, I tried to buy tickets to a sold out concert on ticketmaster an it wouldn't let me, so if it let you buy them you should be good! :)

If you bought it online through Ticketmaster, you should be fine. I have always bought my concert tickets that way and have never had a problem.

Maybe your cousin went to places that were sold out of their allotted tickets, or he was looking for more than one ticket? Idk.

Does anyone know a way where i can get a refund from tickets i got from ticketmaster?

I brought tickets for a show in NY but i live in DC thats not the problem though it is the fact that the customer service at the ticketmaster lied about the location of the tickets and i am upset because i thought i was getting a better location for the one in NY but i had better seats in DC. Now i dont want the NY tickets. and if there is not a way to get a refund can you please tell me good sites where i am guarenteeed to sell these tickets they are at good location for Madison Square garden butin Dc the venue is smaller and my tickets are much better.

You are almost guaranteed to sell them on eBay and possibly make a profit depending on how popular the event is. I made quite a bit of money doing that before. If you want to try and get a refund, here is your local ticketmaster number.

Local 301-808-2405

Most of the time refunds are not allowed through Ticketmaster. You'll likely have to resort to selling the tickets on Ebay as the other poster said.

Can you buy tickets at a ticketmaster retail location?

Tickets for a show go on sale this Saturday at 10 am, there is a retail location near me that opens at 10 am, can i go there to buy tickets? I know the show is going to sell out really fast so would i have a better chance of getting them at a retail location?

Yes you can buy them at a retail location, just hope the person running the machine is fast. I've found that I have better luck with buy them in store then off the web.

TICKETMASTER HELP!!! What is RETAIL LOCATION PICKUP for tickets???????????????????????…

ok my mom ordered tickets online for Vans Warped Tour which is tomorrow.

there were 2 options for buying the tickets. "will call" and "retail location pickup"

my mom chose "retail location pickup"

so where is my mom supposed to pick up the ticket?? at a ticketmaster location? or at an actual store??

idk.i dont even know where you live so there is no way to help you

Some Macy's stores are retail pickups. You can do a search on their website for retail places in your area. But it should have given you the exact location on the confirmation page.

They should have a telephone number on their site - Call them asap to see where the tickets are.

at the nearest place to you that sells ticketmaster tickets. they have a locater on the ticket master website that tells you where the nearest one is.

im pissed though, we had one like, down the road from me, and they stopped doing it, now the nearest one is a half hour drive from me, and its easier to order them online...cept for the tons of extra money you have to spend on "venue fees" and bullshit like that

Can you get tickets to nine inch nail at the law promo price at a ticketmaster outlet location?

They should if the following are true:

* Ticketmaster is ticketing the event

* The "law promo" is available for all channels and not just the Internet or phones.

Here is a link to where you can find the retail outlets...

nin sucks

besides how boring and lifeless industrial music is:

ticketmaster always fists their customers

find a local ticket seller

in toronto we have rotate this

you should find a similar store that find their own tickets

ticketmaster is finally getting theirs! they are getting sued for putting tickets on thir auction block before they get a chance to be sold at fair price first

NIN sucks.

Looking forward to Facedown Fest, baby!

Can you return tickets if you buy at ticketmaster.com or the retail locations?

I wanted to buy tickets at ticketmaster.com but will i be able to return them if i happen to miss the concert? And also does it cost less if i buy tickets at the retail locations?

No. They are not refundable.

If I buy concert tickets at a ticketmaster location will they be less?

Like in terms of fees and all? I'm assuming no, right?

if you go to a ticketmaster vendor like kroger for example they charge the same "convience fees"...the venue it's being held at will only charge a couple of dollars for a ticket.

this can be iffy due to their hours and the number of tickets they have.

Buying at the venue will usually be cheaper - you will not pay most of the ticketmaster fees, but will pay lesser ticket handling fees or similar from the venue.

It really depends upon what you want, if you don't care about where you sit then try the venue - but if its a really popular concert & you want good seats, then you will have make sure your nearly first in line when the tickets go on sale or just try your luck online. If you miss out there you will have to onto the secondary market like tickex, stubhub, & the like.

the fees will be the same, but you wont have to pay for mailing fees. Your best bet is to goto the arena that the show is going to be at and purchase the tickets there. you will wave most fees just for doing that. and call ahead, some places have a fee for using a credit/check card instead of cash.

What is the best way to buy tickets from ticketmaster?

วันเสาร์ที่ 18 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2552

What is the best way to get the closest seats to the stage as possible? I'm just buying 1 ticket (this makes it a lot better). Should I go to a ticketmaster location like 15 minuets before it goes on sale or should I buy them online from home? I'm planning on buying them THE second they come out. How do I get the best seats possible?

The fastest way is to do it online. Just because you are at a ticketmaster location doesnt mean you will get good seats. Whether you go online, to a outlet or call in it's all the same seats and it all takes from the same pool of tickets. If there is more then 1 person at a outlet they will make you draw random numbers, so just because you were there first, it doesn't mean you will get tickets first.

Is there still a conveniance charge even if you dont buy your ticketmaster tickets online?

just curious, i know its like a 10$ service/conveniance charge when you buy your ticketmaster tickets online, lets say you buy them at a retail ticketmaster location do u still have to pay that charge?

DAH, YA

Do TicketMaster locations have better tickets than the ones they list on Ticketmaster.com?

Is everything they have online everything they have? Or are they "hiding" some that you can only get at their locations..

Thanks

Go thru Ticketmaster.com You can get the tickets a heck of alot faster and you get to look at exactly where the seat you buy is located

all the same stupid tickets.

Get them through the internet for better sitting.

Can I buy tickets to an event in Vancouver at a ticketmaster location in Calgary?

I'm not going to be in Vancouver until the day before the event, and by then it will be all sold out. Could I go to a physical ticketmaster booth in Calgary, or will I have to order the tickets over the Internet?

You should be able to with no problem ... all sites are interconnected by computer with the central ticketmaster computer system.

You can get tickets to any Ticketmaster event at any Ticketmaster location in Canada. Or you can buy online. Or you can also call any Ticketmaster in Canada to buy tickets.

Someone else mentioned this already, but just make sure you know exactly what you are looking for if you buy from another city because they may not know much about the event and/or venue you are needing tickets for.

Yes, not a problem. Do either (Calgary outlet or Internet.) Or even call Vancouver Ticketmaster -604-280-4444 (They list 1-800-663-9311 for Canuck events, but I think I have used that before for other stuff.)

The only caution is you might want to at least research it on the Ticketmaster website as a Calgary sales agent is not likely able to help you with many questions.

At ticketmaster locations, do you still have to pay the $8 convienence charge plus processing charges?

it says there are 3 charges- one for processing, one convienence charge and taxes. when you actually buy them on location at a ticketmaster location, do you still have to pay those charges or only taxes or what?

only the taxes
